Your new role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of maintenance and engineering services across a large-scale facility. You will oversee HVAC and mechanical systems, ensuring assets are maintained to the highest standards to support continuous operations.

  • Managing planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance for mechanical and HVAC systems
  • Coordinating contractors and service providers to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and performance standards
  • Overseeing workflows, maintenance requests, and service delivery to meet agreed timeframes
  • Supporting minor capital works, upgrades, and refurbishment projects
  • Contributing to asset management planning, lifecycle optimisation, and performance reporting
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and energy efficiency outcomes
  • Acting as a technical advisor on mechanical systems and building services

This is a hands-on role requiring both technical expertise and strong stakeholder management in a fast-paced environment


What you'll need to succeed

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, eligible for Engineers Australia membership
  • Proven experience delivering maintenance services in complex environments (e.g. healthcare, infrastructure, large facilities)
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building services, and mechanical plant
  • Experience managing contractors, projects, and maintenance programs
  • Sound understanding of relevant standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing demands and manage high-volume workloads
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong IT skills across maintenance systems and MS Office
  • A current driver's licence
