PeopleSoft Functional Consultant

We are partnering with a major Defence organisation to recruit an experienced PeopleSoft Functional Consultant for a critical program focused on PeopleSoft HCM and payroll solutions.

Due to the nature of the work,

Australian Citizenship is mandatory .

Contract Length: Initial 12 Months Contract, chance of extension

Location: Port Melbourne – 3 days/week in office

About the Role: You will play a key role in the design, configuration, support, and optimisation of PeopleSoft HCM and Global Payroll solutions. Working closely with business and technical stakeholders, you will help deliver high-quality outcomes across payroll, testing, and production support activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and support PeopleSoft Global Payroll Australia rules and configurations.
• Configure and maintain payroll elements, formulas, calendars, accumulators and retro processing.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
• Manage defect triage, investigate issues and perform trace analysis to resolve problems efficiently.
• Support and enhance PeopleSoft HCM functionality, with a focus on payroll-related processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.

Required Experience

• Strong functional experience with PeopleSoft HCM and Global Payroll Australia (v9.x or later).
• Demonstrated experience designing and supporting Global Payroll Australia configurations and rules.
• Experience supporting SIT and UAT cycles, including defect management and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of Time & Labour and/or Absence Management, including integration with payroll.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with PeopleTools 8.6x or later.
• Exposure to Application Designer, Application Packages, Component Interfaces and Fluid development.
• Strong Application Engine and SQL experience, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Experience with Integration Broker, JSON/XML message processing, handlers and routings.
• Reporting experience using PS Query, BI Publisher and nVision.
