Job Opportunity: Level 6 Shift Engineer
Are you a skilled Mechanical or Electrical Engineer looking to make a difference in a vital healthcare environment? We are seeking a dedicated Level 6 Shift Engineer to join our team immediately on a full-time basis for an initial three-month contract. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the safe and efficient operation of hospital infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all building and mechanical services.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex faults on plant, equipment, and systems; recommend and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct technical investigations for improvements and enhancements of existing services.
- Monitor plant operations during shifts, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and supervise trades staff and contractors as required.
- Assist with the administration of maintenance contracts.
- Support contract management and procurement activities.
- Maintain compliance with EMHS policies, health and safety legislation, and industry standards.
- Participate in safety initiatives, training, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements:
- Mechanical or Electrical trade qualification.
- Proven experience in building services, hospital facilities, or similar environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate trades staff and contractors.
- Knowledge of safety standards, policies, and legislation relevant to healthcare facilities.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and respond to operational needs.
