The  Professor Lynn Corcoran Early Learning Centre: Froebel Parkville is one of 5 early learning services run by the  not-for-profit provider Froebel Australia. The centre has 100 places for children from 6 months to 5 years of age and is located at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI) in the Parkville biomedical precinct, predominantly offering early education and care services to the employees of WEHI and Melbourne Health. Our program is shaped by immersive language learning (with a second language focus on German), inquiry-based learning through our Little Scientists program, and frequent incursions and excursions that connect us with our local community.

What we’re looking for:

• A Certificate III qualified Early Childhood Educator (or currently working towards). We welcome applications from higher qualified candidates if open to working in a Certificate III level casual capacity.
• Someone who communicates thoughtfully and builds trusting relationships
• A team player with energy, initiative and emotional maturity
• An educator excited by immersive language learning and inquiry-based STEM (no German or Spanish required!)
• A strong understanding of and commitment to child safety and ethical practice
• Someone who is flexible with casual availability and ideally living within a reasonable distance from the centre
• And above all, someone with warmth, positivity, and a heart for children
