Urban Planner

We are seeking a bright, ambitious and motivated Urban Planner to join our growing Sydney planning team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid planning foundation who is eager to broaden their skill set within a multi‑disciplinary environment, working closely with planning, development and project management professionals.
This position offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of statutory and strategic planning projects, supporting city‑shaping land development initiatives for both government and private sector clients. It is well suited to a planner early in their career who is keen to build industry credibility, develop their professional brand and progress ttheir skills and understanding of development strategy, financial feasibilities, site testing and property advisory.
As a Urban Planner, you will:
- Assist in delivering statutory and strategic planning advice across a range of land development projects
- Support the preparation and coordination of development applications, planning proposals and supporting reports
- Contribute to strategic planning projects, including policy research, master planning inputs and early‑stage feasibility assessments
- Work closely with project managers, development managers, clients and consultants throughout the project lifecycle
- Liaise with local councils, state authorities and other stakeholders
- Coordinate inputs from specialist consultants and assist in reviewing technical documentation
- Support project delivery across planning, feasibility and development workstreams
- Actively participate in team collaboration, professional development and industry engagement
You will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning (or a related discipline)
- Early‑career (2 years plus) experience in urban or town planning (consultancy or government experience highly regarded)
- A strong interest in development feasibility, urban outcomes and project delivery
- Sound understanding of NSW planning systems, or a strong desire to develop this expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- A proactive, curious and adaptable mindset with a willingness to learn
- Confidence working in a fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary environment
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with support
