Job Title: Power BI With Data Modelling

Location: Sydney (Onsite)

Contract

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with strong expertise in Data Modelling , SSIS , and Power BI to support the enhancement and optimization of enterprise reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fine-tune and optimize existing data models to improve reporting performance and scalability.
  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient data models for Power BI reporting.
  • Develop and enhance SSIS packages to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple source systems.
  • Integrate new data feeds from various source systems into the existing data warehouse and reporting environment.
  • Build and optimize Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards to deliver accurate and actionable business insights.
  • Improve query performance using optimized data modelling techniques and DAX.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand reporting requirements and implement scalable solutions.
  • Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning across ETL and reporting layers.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance throughout the reporting lifecycle.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Engineering.
  • Strong experience in Data Modelling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Dimensional Modelling).
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft SSIS for ETL development and data integration.
  • Strong expertise in Power BI , including Power Query, DAX, data modelling, dashboards, and report development.
  • Experience working with SQL Server and writing complex SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization for Power BI datasets and reports.
