About The Role

At Multiworks, we believe that great people are the cornerstone of a great business, and how we succeed in the industry. We are on the hunt for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team.

This is a full-time, permanent position with Multiworks. You'll initially be based in regional Queensland, supporting delivery of our current infrastructure project there through to completion, targeted for March 2027 (or later, if the project runs beyond that date). On completion, the role transitions to a permanent position based in Melbourne, within Multiworks' growing infrastructure portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver programs, timelines and quality standards across the project.
• Assist the project manager with construction team engagement, preparation, planning and execution of construction activities.
• Administer contracts, including budget/program reporting, procurement, productivity tracking, progress claims and variation management.
• Manage client interfacing regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliverables.
• Maintain formation and compliance with QA documentation.
• Oversee and manage all resources, including subcontractors, suppliers, service authorities and other stakeholders.
• Manage project programs/schedules as directed by the project manager.
• Prepare project reporting (daily works, project progress, project costs).

Essential

• Minimum of 3 years' experience delivering civil infrastructure projects.
• Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Previous experience working on civil infrastructure projects (electricity, rail, water, gas, roads).
• Demonstrated experience delivering quality-driven projects to defined specifications and standards.
• Knowledge of project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project or Procore.
• Demonstrated experience in client management.
• Confident managing subcontractors, plant operations and plant utilisation.

Desirable

• Strong knowledge of ground conditions and construction materials handling practices.
• Previous experience in bulk earthworks.
• Earthmoving knowledge (scrapes, mass earthmoving, etc.).
• Understanding of cut/fill operations, benching, battering and site levelling.
• Knowledge of GPS and machine control systems.
