School Nurse – Grimwade House

About the Role 

As the key Grimwade House School Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of students and staff. You will be supported by a collaborative Health Centre team based at our South Yarra campus, who regularly attend Grimwade to provide assistance and ensure continuity of care. 

This role requires a strong commitment to Melbourne Grammar School’s values, including a clear understanding of your responsibilities in relation to  Child Safety and Wellbeing . You will work with a high level of autonomy and report directly to the Health Centre Manager. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide first aid, medical care, and health advice to students, staff and visitors 
  • Support the coordination and daily operations of the Health Centre 
  • Maintain accurate student health records using Synergetic and incident reporting systems 
  • Assist in the management of ongoing health conditions (e.g. asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetes) 
  • Deliver clear clinical handovers to the Health Centre Manager and nursing team 
  • Contribute to a caring, inclusive and community-driven environment 

About You 

  • Qualified Registered Nurse (Division 1) with relevant clinical experience 
  • Passionate about working with children and supporting their development 
  • Strong organisational and communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team 
  • Commitment to child safety and wellbeing
