About the Opportunity

Are you an Information Management Specialist looking to make a high-impact mark on one of Australia’s premier resources operations?

On behalf of our client, a Major Mining Operator, we are currently searching for a Specialist Information Management – Applications for a 12-month contract based in West Perth.

Sitting within the Operational Applications team and reporting directly to the Manager Applications, you will play a critical role in designing, optimising, and supporting modern IM systems. From driving master data governance to implementing next-gen automation, intelligent content processing, and AI-enhanced toolsets, this role puts you at the forefront of operational technology and data strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• System Design & Integration: Implement, integrate, and support information management systems to ensure data integrity, reliability, and seamless accessibility across operations.
• Modernization & AI: Champion the development of intelligent content processing, automation tools, and AI-driven solutions to enhance current IM practices.
• Governance & Master Data: Maintain master data structures, business rules, metadata, and modern information architecture while developing clear data quality standards.
• Data Quality & Reporting: Monitor and validate data quality across platforms, utilizing SQL and modern BI tools to design data quality dashboards and performance reports.
• Stakeholder & Support: Act as a technical subject matter expert, providing troubleshooting, end-user training, and ensuring systems meet core business requirements.
• Compliance: Ensure all operational applications adhere to relevant legislation, data privacy standards, and corporate governance policies.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven IM Expertise: Solid professional experience implementing robust Information Management solutions, workflows, and metadata structures.
• Automation & AI Exposure: Hands-on experience building or utilizing automation tools, intelligent content processing, or AI-enhanced IM toolsets.
• Modern Tech Stack: Clear understanding of cloud architectures, SaaS solutions, APIs, and scripting languages.
• Data Analytics Skills: Proficiency with SQL and Business Intelligence (BI) platforms to build data health dashboards.
• ITSM Knowledge: Prior experience utilizing IT Service Management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical operational users.
