Metafix is looking for a reliable and well-organised Driver & Logistics Coordinator to join our fencing and retaining wall business.

This is a key role at Metafix. Our fencing crews rely on you to make sure the right materials, tools and equipment are in the right place at the right time.

Reliability and good time management are paramount. If you're the sort of person who likes being organised, plans ahead and gets satisfaction from keeping things running smoothly, this role could be a great fit.

We're a friendly, close-knit team. We work hard, there's plenty of banter and everyone looks out for each other.

About the Role

Around 90% of the role is driving, deliveries and logistics . You'll spend most of your day out on the road, working independently and moving between our Wacol yard, suppliers and job sites.

You'll work closely with our Operations Manager, who coordinates the day's priorities, while you'll be responsible for getting those tasks completed efficiently and keeping everyone informed.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collecting materials and delivering them to job sites
• Transporting our excavator between jobs
• Collecting and disposing of waste using our 4.5t tipper
• Loading and unloading materials, tools and equipment
• Keeping our Wacol stock yard clean, organised and properly stocked
• Keeping track of materials, tools and equipment
• Looking after the truck, trailers and equipment

No truck licence is required – our truck can be driven on a standard car licence.

Excavator operating experience and confidence towing and reversing trailers are highly regarded.

This isn't a heavy labouring role all day, every day. Most of your time will be spent driving and organising materials and equipment, but you will need to be physically capable of handling fencing and construction materials when required.

• Is well organised with good time management
• Can work independently, prioritise tasks and think ahead
• Is a safe and confident driver
• Takes responsibility for stock, tools and equipment
• Communicates well and keeps people informed
• Takes pride in keeping things organised
• Is physically capable of manual handling when required

Experience in construction, transport, warehousing or landscaping is useful but not essential.

Requirements

• Current manual driver's licence
• Australian citizen or permanent resident
