Senior Estimator

The Senior Estimator will play a key role in managing and delivering accurate cost estimates for projects within the civil infrastructure market in NSW. This permanent role offers a rewarding opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with expertise in delivering high quality and accurate estimates for large civil infrastructure projects.

Description

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects within the civil infrastructure sector.
• Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine project requirements.
• Identify and evaluate potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost forecasting.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for inclusion in estimates.
• Maintain and update cost databases and records for future reference.
• Present and justify estimates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Monitor project costs and provide updates as required.

Profile

A successful Senior Estimator should have:

• Strong experience in estimating within the civil infrastructure industry
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools. Expert estimation or similar software experience preferred
• A solid understanding of construction methods, materials and market rates.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to liaise with stakeholders effectively.
• A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction management or a related field.
• Ability to work self sufficiently and autonomously
