Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Retail Manager (General) for a retail outlet located in a remote regional community in Australia. The ideal candidate will support store operations, manage inventory and staff, ensure compliance with workplace regulations, and help achieve operational and financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage product mix, stock levels, and service standards
• Implement purchasing, pricing, and marketing strategies
• Promote and advertise store products and services
• Assist customers with product selection and usage guidance
• Maintain records of stock, sales, and financial transactions
• Handle budgeting and daily store operations
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff members
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) regulations
• Operate inventory control systems, POS systems, and bookkeeping software
• Coordinate smooth store operations in a remote community environment
  

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Retail Manager / Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager
  
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, POS systems, and bookkeeping software
  
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in staff supervision, training, and team leadership
  
• Good understanding of WHS and HR practices
  
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  
• Experience working in regional or remote communities is preferred
  
• Knowledge of indigenous culture and remote community environments will be an advantage.
