Buildcorp is a national multi-disciplinary construction business with a 35+ year track record across new build, fitout and refurbishment, and remedial works. Our Queensland team — based at Level 8, 189 Grey Street, South Brisbane — is growing fast, with a pipeline that spans social and affordable housing, institutional, refurbishment / re-positioning, governement and CBD commercial projects.

About the role

We're hiring a Programme Manager to be the planning brain of the QLD business unit — sitting across new business and live projects, owning the master programmes that drive how we win work and how we deliver it.

This is a true cross-BU role, reporting to the SLT and partnering with our pre-construction, estimating, design, services and project delivery teams. You'll move fluidly between tender programmes one week and recovery / EOT strategy the next.

If you've spent time as a dedicated Construction Planner at a Tier 1 or 2 builder or supported them from a Planning Consultancy and you're ready for a broader programme leadership seat — this is built for you.

What you'll do

• Own master programmes for live QLD projects and the pipeline — in Asta Powerproject, P6 (Primavera) and/or MS Project.
• Drive tender, ECI and contract programmes for new business — including Authority Approvals, design, procurement and construction sequencing — and partner with our estimating and Preconstruction teams to ensure tender programmes are achievable and competitive.
• Run procurement programming — producing and tracking the procurement programme so design release and long-lead deliveries align with the construction critical path.
• Complete programme reviews with project teams; track float, critical path, and recovery options and report back to the SLT.
• Lead pre-construction programme work — ECI, methodology, sequencing strategy and constructability input.
• Prepare and submit Extension of Time claims and contemporaneous delay analysis where required.
• Monthly programme-health reporting — translating programme into commercial risk and opportunity for the leadership team.
• Coach project managers, engineers and site managers on programme literacy.

What we're looking for

• 8–10+ years in commercial construction, with at least 3–5 in a dedicated planning / programme role at a Tier 1 or strong Tier 2 builder or have supported these builders from a planning consultancy
• Demonstrated experience building tender and contract programmes for $50m+ projects across government, residential, institutional, refurbishment / re-positioning and CBD commercial projects.
• Tuned into the SEQ market
• Expert in Asta Powerproject and/or P6 (Primavera) and MS Project; strong Excel and Power BI a plus.
• Qualified Engineer (Civil / Structural / Construction Management) or equivalent — Masters or research background a plus, not essential.
• A self starter who is confident running programme workshops with senior PMs, estimators and subcontractors, and communicating critical-path logic clearly to non-planners.
• Experience preparing EOT claims and engaging in contractual programme correspondence.
• Eligible to work in Australia; Brisbane-based or willing to relocate.
