Our client is looking for experienced S26 Supervisors to support ongoing shutdown works across a major Pilbara mining operation.
Roster: Shutdown work, roster depending on site requirements
Start date: 07 July
Duration: Ongoing shutdown work depending on client requirements
Pay Rate: $ – $ p/h Super additional shift loading if working night shift
Please note that only people with relevant experience will be considered.
The Role:
This role will suit experienced S26 Supervisors with a strong background supporting shutdown, maintenance, mechanical, rigging or rope access works within mining, resources, heavy industry or construction environments.
You will be responsible for supervising work crews on site, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with client, site and shutdown requirements.
You may be supporting teams across rigging, mechanical or rope access scopes, depending on your background and the requirements of each shutdown. You do not need experience across all areas, however relevant experience in at least one of these disciplines will be required.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervise shutdown work crews and ensure all works are completed safely and efficiently
- Provide leadership and direction to trades, technicians and site personnel during shutdown activities
- Support planning, coordination and execution of site-based shutdown works
- Ensure work is completed in line with site procedures, safety standards, permits and client requirements
- Monitor work progress and assist with resolving site issues as they arise
- Coordinate with supervisors, planners, contractors and site teams to support smooth shutdown execution
- Ensure team members are working in accordance with safe work practices and relevant documentation
- Participate in pre-starts, toolbox meetings and safety discussions
- Monitor compliance with JHAs, SWMS, permits, isolations and site access requirements
- Report hazards, incidents, delays or quality issues to relevant stakeholders
- Support a strong safety culture and ensure all personnel understand their responsibilities on site
Required Experience:
- Current S26 Supervisor certificate is required
- Previous experience supervising shutdown, maintenance, construction or site-based works
- Experience within mining, resources, heavy industry, oil and gas or construction environments highly regarded
- Experience across rigging, mechanical or rope access works will be considered
- Strong understanding of site safety requirements, permits, isolations and safe work procedures
- Ability to lead crews in a fast-paced shutdown environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with site teams, contractors and stakeholders
- Ability to manage changing priorities and support safe, efficient work execution
- Previous experience on major mining sites highly regarded
- Current relevant tickets, licences and site inductions highly regarded depending on site requirements
- Ability to commence at short notice highly regarded
