Engineering Trades Australia is currently seeking an experienced confident  Civil Site Supervisor  to join a well-established civil construction company based in  Northam, WA .

Position Detail
Role:  Civil Works Supervisor
Location:  Northam, WA (head office start each morning)
Employment Type:  Full-Time Permanent
Hours:  Monday to Friday | 6:30 am – 2:30 pm

About the Role As the Civil Works Supervisor, you will lead by example, promoting a strong safety culture while overseeing day-to-day civil construction activities across multiple project sites. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Description

  • Supervise daily operations across civil construction sites.
  • Coordinate and allocate labour, plant, and materials.
  • Lead site crews to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, environmental requirements, company procedures, and client expectations.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, variations, and program performance.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, and site inductions.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, timesheets, safety records, and plant logs.
  • Ensure plant and equipment are operated safely, with all required inspections completed.
  • Identify and manage site hazards, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Mentor and develop site personnel while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to the Works Manager.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Civil road construction and drainage experience
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within civil construction or infrastructure.
  • Construction White Card
  • Current HR driver's licence
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach to safety and project delivery.
