Position Detail
Role: Civil Works Supervisor
Location: Northam, WA (head office start each morning)
Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday | 6:30 am – 2:30 pm
About the Role As the Civil Works Supervisor, you will lead by example, promoting a strong safety culture while overseeing day-to-day civil construction activities across multiple project sites. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Job Description
- Supervise daily operations across civil construction sites.
- Coordinate and allocate labour, plant, and materials.
- Lead site crews to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, environmental requirements, company procedures, and client expectations.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, variations, and program performance.
- Conduct toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, and site inductions.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, timesheets, safety records, and plant logs.
- Ensure plant and equipment are operated safely, with all required inspections completed.
- Identify and manage site hazards, risks, and corrective actions.
- Mentor and develop site personnel while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to the Works Manager.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Civil road construction and drainage experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within civil construction or infrastructure.
- Construction White Card
- Current HR driver's licence
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach to safety and project delivery.
