Job Description: Salesforce Field Service Developer
Location: Melbourne
Duration: Long term

1) Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform discovery and conduct a detailed assessment of the current forms solution, including capabilities, limitations, and usage patterns
  • Analyze existing processes and document current-state architecture and data capture workflows
  • Leverage expertise in Salesforce Field Service (SFS) Work Plans and Data Capture (Forms) to evaluate platform capabilities
  • Perform gap analysis between current solution, business requirements, and SFS standard functionalities
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts (BA) and stakeholders to validate requirements and solution direction
  • Develop a prioritized migration plan from the existing forms solution to Salesforce Field Service, including phased rollout strategy, dependencies, and risks
  • Design scalable, reusable, and user-friendly forms aligned with field service processes and mobile usability
  • Configure and develop SFS forms and Work Plans in line with the approved migration roadmap
  • Execute hands-on implementation including configuration, development, testing, and deployment
  • Support testing phases (SIT/UAT) and ensure solution quality and business acceptance
  • Provide regular progress updates, identify risks/issues, and support mitigation planning
  • Ensure adherence to environment management, release processes, and delivery standards

2) Key Skills Required

Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce Field Service (SFS)
Proven expertise in:

  • Work Plans
  • Data Capture / Forms configuration

Experience in conducting:

  • Discovery and current-state assessments
  • Gap analysis and solution design
  • Ability to design and implement end-to-end forms solutions in Salesforce
  • Experience in developing migration strategies and execution plans

Strong understanding of:

  • Field service operations
  • Mobile workforce solutions
  • Hands-on configuration and development experience within Salesforce platform
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills (especially with Business Analysts and business users)
  • Ability to work across design, build, test, and deployment phases
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
