Financial Accounting Lead

This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door within this local government organistion.

You will work as their Financial Accounting Lead, overseeing a team of 5 ensuring that the Financial Accounting activities are being completed ontime and to a high standard.

CA or CPA qualified you will be an experienced Senior Finance Leader where you have led a team to deliver high quality financial reporting and statutory financial reporting requirements ensuring best practice.

You will oversee the team who delivers:
- Financial and Statutory Reporting, including Annual Financial Statements, quarterly reporting, grant reporting, preparation for year end audit;
- Financial Management and Performance Reporting, including annual budget estimates and KPI reporting;
- General Ledger Control, including reviewing and authorising journals prepared by the team, overseeing monthly reporting;
- Investments and Borrowings Management, incuding cashflow;
- Overseeing and supporting the AP and AR teams. 

This role is to start ASAP and for a 6 month period, with the possibility of being extended.

You will be a CA/CPA quaified professional with proven exceptional team leadership skills as well as high level technical financial accounting experience, either from local government or a commercial environment.
