About Melville Cares
Melville Cares is the heart of community care in our local area, delivering home support, in-home respite, transport and social programs that help older people live life on their own terms. We believe growing older shouldn't mean missing out — our team empowers clients, builds trust, and walks alongside them with compassion, doing as much or as little as they need.
About the Role
Put your compliance and finance skills to work for a cause that matters. We're looking for a detail-driven Compliance Officer to help keep our Associated Provider network audit-ready, while supporting procurement and finance for a growing Support at Home team.
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you'll be the go-to person for Associated Provider compliance under the Support at Home programme — keeping our provider register accurate, chasing up expiring documentation before it lapses, and flagging risks early. You'll also lend a hand with procurement (processing routine purchase orders, supporting supplier onboarding) and finance administration (coding invoices in ProSpend). It's a varied role for someone who likes structure, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in getting the details right.
A typical week might include:
- Keeping the Associated Provider Register current and updating required documentation for submission to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission
- Tracking service agreements, insurances, worker screening checks and qualifications, and following up before they expire
- Pulling together compliance status reports and flagging overdue or at-risk items to the Senior Accountant
- Liaising with Associated Providers on documentation, the Statement of Rights and the Aged Care Code of Conduct
- Processing standard purchase orders and supporting supplier onboarding
- Coding invoices in ProSpend in line with our delegations of authority
- Assisting with project work and other related tasks as needed
What You'll Bring
- Experience in a compliance, administration or procurement role — aged care, disability or community services background highly regarded
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Sharp attention to detail and a knack for juggling multiple deadlines without losing accuracy
- Clear, confident communication — comfortable following up external providers on outstanding documentation
- A team player who's just as happy working independently
- Tech-savvy and confident picking up new business systems — you'll be working across multiple platforms daily
- National Police Clearance (less than 3 months old) — this is mandatory for the role
- Prior exposure to AlayaCare, Oracle NetSuite or ProSpend highly regarded but not necessary if you are confident with systems
Why You'll Enjoy Working Here
- Real purpose: your work directly protects vulnerable older people in our community
- A supportive, close-knit Finance Team where your contribution is genuinely valued
Keen on joining the team
