As the business continues to grow its pipeline of commercial, industrial and civil projects, our client is now seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join their team on a full-time, ongoing basis. The role is site- and office-based across the Townsville region and surrounding North Queensland project locations.

·Organise and direct site labour and subcontractors, and coordinate the delivery and use of construction materials, plant and equipment across the site.
·Establish and maintain detailed construction programs for the sequencing and coordination of site activities and monitor progress against program and budget.
·Review and interpret geotechnical, survey and engineering reports to inform construction methods, earthworks, temporary works and foundation construction, and coordinate site investigations where required.
·Advise on engineering, construction and maintenance methods, and review consultant designs for constructability, identifying and resolving issues that arise during construction.
·Analyse and interpret site reports and data on loading, labour, productivity, quality, materials and performance, and recommend corrective action where needed.
·Liaise with clients, architects, consulting engineers, certifiers, authorities and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered to specification and approvals.
·Ensure all works comply with Australian Standards, the National Construction Code, QBCC requirements, statutory approvals and work health and safety obligations.
·Prepare technical reports, progress documentation, records and as-built information throughout the project lifecycle.
·Advise on and oversee maintenance, defect rectification and remediation of completed structures during the warranty/defects period.
To be successfully considered for the role, you:
·Hold a recognised bachelor’s degree (or higher qualification) in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
·Have at least 1+ years' professional experience working as a Civil Engineer, ideally within commercial, industrial or civil construction.
·Have demonstrated experience in construction methods, cost estimating and project scheduling.
