Utilities Solution Architect | Kraken

Green Light Worldwide is currently seeking an experienced Solution Architect with strong Utilities and Kraken experience to join a major transformation program in Melbourne.

This is an opportunity to work on a complex, large-scale technology transformation spanning Meter-to-Cash, smart metering, billing and enterprise utility platforms . You’ll play a key role in shaping the architecture and helping deliver modern solutions across a complex utilities environment.

About the Role
As a Utilities Solution Architect, you’ll work closely with clients, business stakeholders, product teams and technical delivery teams to design scalable solutions and provide architectural leadership throughout the program.

You’ll be responsible for translating business and technology requirements into practical architecture, while ensuring different systems and platforms work effectively together.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop end-to-end architecture across the Meter-to-Cash lifecycle
• Define integration approaches across core utility systems, including CIS, MDM, CRM and billing platforms
• Lead technical workshops and solution design discussions with clients and stakeholders
• Develop solutions capable of supporting high-volume smart meter and meter data processing
• Create architecture designs, blueprints and technology roadmaps
• Provide architecture oversight and governance throughout delivery
• Partner with product, business and engineering teams to ensure technical alignment
• Identify opportunities to incorporate AI and automation into solutions
• Manage technical risks, dependencies and cross-system considerations
• Provide senior technical advice to clients undertaking major transformation initiatives

About You
You’ll be a senior architecture professional with a strong background in energy and utilities , and a proven ability to operate across complex technology environments.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with:

• Strong experience across Utilities and Meter-to-Cash
• Solid understanding of smart metering and Meter Data Management (MDM)
• Experience with utility billing systems and processes
• Hands-on experience with a Kraken implementation or conversion – essential
• Strong understanding of utility technology platforms and their interdependencies
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
• Exposure to continuous deployment and iterative technology delivery
• Strong systems-thinking and integration skills
• Experience contributing to large-scale, multi-year transformation or migration programs
• Knowledge of utility market structures, regulations and smart metering ecosystems
