The selection, design, justification, implementation and operation of controls and management strategies to maintain the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability and relevant compliance of information systems with legislation, regulation and relevant standards.
SCTY Level 4:
Explains the purpose of and provides advice and guidance on the application and operation of elementary physical, procedural and technical security controls. Performs security risk, vulnerability assessments, and business impact analysis for medium complexity information systems. Investigates suspected attacks and manages security incidents. Uses forensics where appropriate.

- Security Clearance: NV1 Clearance
- Length of Contract: 10 months
- The role closes on 15/09/2026
- Location: Defence Plaza, Melbourne VIC
- Develop, maintain, and update security accreditation artefacts and supporting documentation.
- Conduct security risk assessments and ensure identified risks are appropriately documented, treated, and managed.
- Support maintenance of Authority to Operate (ATO) and ongoing security assurance requirements.
- Engage security authorities and stakeholders to support accreditation outcomes.
- Experience in security accreditation, system authorisation or security assurance
- Cyber security risk assessment experience.
- Experience producing accreditation documentation and security reports.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Understanding of systems engineering and SDLC principles
