Lead Master Scheduler

Executive-Level Contract Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Master Scheduler to provide strategic scheduling leadership across a large and complex program portfolio.

This role is ideal for a career scheduling professional who can establish and maintain integrated master schedules, provide critical path analysis, manage dependencies, and deliver high-quality reporting to executive stakeholders and governance bodies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of integrated master schedules across multiple projects and workstreams.
  • Ensure alignment between project schedules, program milestones, dependencies and delivery objectives.
  • Conduct schedule health checks, critical path analysis and performance reporting.
  • Identify scheduling risks, issues and impacts, and drive mitigation strategies.
  • Provide expert advice on planning, scheduling and program controls practices.
  • Support portfolio governance, assurance reviews and executive reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement and capability uplift in planning and scheduling disciplines.

Essential Requirements

  • Extensive experience leading scheduling functions within large-scale government, ICT, transformation or enterprise programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in integrated master scheduling, dependency management and critical path analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of project delivery methodologies including PRINCE2, PMBOK and Agile.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Power BI and the Microsoft suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and work autonomously in complex environments.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.

Desirable

  • Experience working within Australian Government agencies.
  • Current Australian Government Security Clearance, or eligibility to obtain one.
