Metal Fabricator

Hays is currently seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator for an ongoing opportunity with a well-established South Australian manufacturer. Working within a busy workshop environment, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and modifying a variety of steel and metal products to precise specifications.

Your new role

• Fabricate and assemble metal components from engineering drawings
• Mark out, cut, grind and prepare materials for fabrication
• Operate fabrication equipment including guillotines, press brakes and power tools
• Perform MIG and TIG welding where required
• Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
• Maintain a safe and organised work environment

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in a Metal Fabricator or Boilermaker role
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience working with structural steel, sheet metal or stainless steel
• Strong measuring, marking out and fabrication skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Forklift licence highly regarded
