About the Biology Teaching Role

We are seeking a passionate Biology teacher who can:

• Deliver engaging Biology and Science lessons across secondary year levels

• Support students to develop strong scientific knowledge and understanding

• Plan and deliver practical experiments, investigations and laboratory activities

• Use explicit teaching, inquiry-based learning and formative assessment

• Develop students' scientific literacy, critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Differentiate learning for students with a range of abilities and learning needs

• Integrate digital technologies into teaching and learning

• Build positive relationships with students

• Contribute to a collaborative and supportive Science faculty

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Science or Education , with Biology specialisation

• VIT registration or eligibility for registration

• Secondary Biology teaching experience

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Commitment to inclusive and student-centred education

• Willingness to contribute to faculty programs and the wider life of the College
