About the role
Multiple opportunities currently exist for experienced Aircrew Officers to join our Aviation & Critical Services team on a fixed term touring basis, supporting our HEMS operations. Working a 15 days on,13 days off roster, applicants will experience a good work/life balance with great conditions, benefits and be located in a desirable area.
As part of this role you will:
· Conduct safe flight operations complying with CASA, contractual and company policies and procedures;
· Report promptly on all operations and maintenance deficiencies;
· Complete pre-flight and post-flight documentation;
· Conduct helicopter EMS and Search and Rescue Operations;
· Provide accurate visual observation and information to the Pilot of flight relevant data including clearances, personnel movements and flight safety related issues;
· Maintain continuous and immediate readiness of operational role equipment;
· Employ and install role equipment;
· Operate rescue hoist and associated equipment IAW Babcock Exposition;
· Perform duties in the Front Left Seat (FLS) by day, and using Night Vision Imaging Systems (NVIS);
· Conduct aircraft flight preparation and post-flight husbandry;
· Ensure security and safe configuration of cabin and equipment; and
· Other tasks as designated by the Senior Base ACO or Chief Aircrew Officer.
To be successful, you will bring:
Essential requirements:
· AVI40119 Certificate IV in Aviation (Aircrew Officer)
· Competency in Winching and Rappelling Operations;
· Minimum 500 hours of rotary wing Aircrew Officer experience;
· Front Left Seat experience;
· Current CASA Class II Medical Certificate;
· Current Senior First Aid Certificate HLTAID011
· Current Provide Advanced Resuscitation & Oxygen Therapy Certificate HLTAID015;
· HUET/ HUET with EBS Qualified;
· Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate of Proficiency;
· NVIS Aircrew endorsement
Desirable requirements:
· Experience operating Bell 412 and AW139
· Ideally reside in Queensland
