About the role:

Our Allied Health Assistants work under the supervision of clinical professionals to deliver tailored programs designed to achieve individual rehabilitation goals and outcomes. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to implement exercise, mobility and rehabilitation programs that support clients with their goals, and develop strength, balance and prevent injury.

They do this by:

• Delivering prescribed exercise and mobility programs under clinical guidance, and prepare and guide clients through interventions as documented in treatment plans.
• Providing support to clients during sessions, including setting up equipment, giving cues and instructions, and providing guidance and encouragement.
• Monitoring the progress of clients throughout the program and escalating issues or concerns with treating clinicians.
• Maintaining accurate client records and documentation in accordance with business processes and industry standards.
• Communicating effectively with clinicians, clients and their networks to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.

About you:

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Previous experience in similar role (desirable).
• No qualification is necessary, Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or currently studying a relevant clinical qualification (exercise science, physio, exercise physiology) would be viewed favourably.
• Personal interest in health and wellness, and a drive to share your passion and knowledge with others.
• Exposure to and experience working across a variety of ages, conditions and ability levels.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
• Ability to build rapport and maintain strong client and peer relationships.
• Adaptable to different situations, and willingness to be flexible in approach to get best outcomes.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
• Computer literacy – including intermediate Word, Excel, Email skills.
• A passion for making a positive difference to people’s live through their health journey.
