Service Technician - Electronic Instrument Trades Worker

Our client, a well-established company, provides specialist compressed air equipment to all industry sectors across Australia. They are looking for full time skilled and experienced Service Technicians to join their dynamic team.


Working as part of a friendly team you should be experienced in servicing, maintaining, testing, calibrating, diagnosing and repairing, and replacing parts for a variety of portable compressors and construction air tools.

 

Your role involves and is not limited to the following:

* Inspecting, diagnosing, modifying, maintaining, repairing, installing, and commissioning compressed air systems, power generation equipment and associated monitoring and control equipment to minimise downtime.

* Service and repair rotary screw compressors, piston compressors, portable compressors and related compressed air equipment

* Install, inspect, maintain and test instrumentation, monitoring and automated control systems fitted to compressed air and power generation equipment.
* Test, calibrate and verify the operation of pressure sensors, temperature sensors, transmitters, gauges, switches, actuators and monitoring devices.
* Diagnose faults involving compressor controllers, generator controllers, electronic monitoring devices, alarm systems and automated operating systems.
* Configure, install and verify controller settings, operating parameters, alarms, central controller systems and performance monitoring functions in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

* Studying drawings to determine suitable material, sequence of operations, and engine settings
* Service and maintain diesel and petrol-powered generators and associated monitoring and control equipment.

* Carry out preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs.

* Dismantling, repairing and reassembling engines and parts/components.
* Testing repaired parts for proper performance.
* Using computers and specialized tools to diagnose and repair faults.
* Following workplace Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) protocols.

 

Key requirements:

You must have at least an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification. 
Good organisational skills with a "can do" attitude
Experience in working in a small to medium teams, undertaking highly task orientated engineering work
Ability to work under pressure
Physically fit

 

 

Excellent salary package + Super (Between $80,000 to $90,000.00 per annum plus
superannuation).
