This well-established not-for-profit organisation plays a key role in supporting community-led health and wellbeing outcomes across Western Australia. Working closely with member organisations, stakeholders, government agencies and communities, the organisation advocates for improved outcomes, delivers strategic initiatives, and provides leadership across the sector.With a strong focus on engagement, advocacy and community impact, they are seeking an experienced Communications Manager to lead their communications and design function.
Your new role
Reporting to the Executive Manager Corporate Services, you will lead the development and delivery of the organisation's communications strategy, managing a small team while overseeing brand, media, digital communications, publications and stakeholder engagement activities. Key responsibilities include:
Developing and delivering strategic communications plans and campaigns
Leading the organisation's communications and design team
Managing media relations, public affairs and stakeholder communications
Overseeing digital channels including website, social media and online content
Creating and managing publications, reports, video and other communication materials
Supporting executive leadership with key messaging and strategic initiatives
Driving brand awareness, community engagement and organisational profile
Coordinating communication support for events, conferences and sector initiatives
Maintaining brand consistency across all communication channels
What you'll need to succeed
Degree qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or a related discipline
Significant experience leading communications functions, teams and campaigns
Strong media relations, stakeholder engagement and public affairs experience
Digital communications expertise across social media, websites and content management
Exceptional written communication, editing and content development skills
Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities
Strong leadership and people management capability
Advanced skills across Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
A collaborative and culturally aware approach to stakeholder engagement
