A bit about the role...

The Manager – Suburban University Study Hub is responsible for the leadership, operation, and growth of the Study Hub, supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds to access, participate in, and succeed in tertiary education.

Based at our Beenleigh Hub, this role provides both strategic and operational leadership to deliver high-quality, student-centred services and strengthen pathways into university and further education.

You will work closely with universities, schools, community organisations and local stakeholders to build strong partnerships, increase engagement, and drive improved education outcomes for the region.

This is a fixed term, full-time position until 30 June 2027 with possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities include…

  • Leading the day-to-day operations of the Study Hub and managing staff and volunteers
  • Driving student engagement through programs, workshops, and targeted initiatives
  • Providing a welcoming, inclusive environment that supports student success and wellbeing
  • Building and maintaining strong partnerships with education providers and community organisations
  • Leading outreach activities to increase participation from underrepresented cohorts
  • Using data and insights to improve services, measure outcomes, and meet program KPIs
  • Ensuring compliance with funding requirements, reporting, and safety standards

Presenting over 45 years’ experience in skilling solutions and services to employers and businesses, job seekers and students, through apprenticeship support services, employment, education support programs, and vocational training.

A bit about you…

You are a collaborative and driven leader who is passionate about improving access to education and supporting student success.

You will bring:

  • Leadership experience in education, community services, or a related sector
  • Strong understanding of barriers to tertiary participation for underrepresented groups
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, partnerships, and community outreach
  • Demonstrated ability to design or deliver student engagement initiatives
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to use data to inform decisions and improve outcomes
  • A proactive, adaptable approach in a dynamic environment

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. education, community services, social sciences)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar leadership role
  • Eligibility to obtain a Blue Card and National Police Check
  • Current open driver’s licence
