Procurement Officer

  • The Procurement Officer is responsible for coordinating and managing the procurement of goods, services, equipment and contractors for Thamarrurr Development Corporation (TDC).

    The position ensures procurement activities are conducted in a fair, transparent, compliant and cost-effective manner, while supporting the operational requirements of TDC's diverse programs and remote community operations.

    About You

    • Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, administration or a related field.
    • Demonstrated ability to obtain and compare quotations and assess value for money.
    • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential and accurate records.
    • Ability to work within policies, procedures and financial delegations.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Desirable

    • Certificate, diploma or degree in procurement, supply chain, business, finance or a related discipline.
    • Experience working in a remote or regional environment.
    • Experience working for an Indigenous organisation or community-controlled organisation.
    • Experience with procurement or finance software.
    • Experience managing suppliers and contractors.

    Other requirements

    • National Police Check
    • Northern Terrirotyr Working with Children Check (Ochre Card)
    • Minimum C class drivers' licence
    • NLC permit (with assistance)
