Welder LOCATION: Yennora NSW 2161 HOURS: Monday - Friday - (Overtime available) DURATION: Permanent / Full Time

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

Welder Trade Certificate (Cert III in Engineering* Fabrication Trade) or Similar Experience within a fabrication workshop or manufacturing based role is essential. Construction White Card On the job training will be provided.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting directly to your workshop/area supervisor you will be required to work autonomously and within a manufacturing team to assist in the fabrication and assembly of components. Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements) Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety Monitor work equipment to ensure usage is within optimum temperature to avoid overheating or expansion Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning with chemical solutions and wire brushes to remove impurities such as scale, rust, grease, and moisture Mount and secure workpieces on production equipment using cranes, hoists or banding machines Wear appropriate protective gear and ensure compliance with established health/safety regulations Experience within a fabrication workshop or manufacturing based role is essential.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The position offers immediate start working with our fast-paced team and would require the successful candidates to possess the following essential qualifications. Boilermaker/Welder Trade Certificate Mild steel, Aluminium or Stainless-Steel welding experience Ability to read drawings & mark out your own jobs Construction Industry White Card Construction/manufacturing experience
