About the role

 

As a Care Services Employee, you will support residents with their daily living needs while promoting independence, comfort, dignity and quality of life.

 

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
  • Supporting residents at mealtimes and helping provide a dignified dining experience
  • Observing and reporting changes in residents’ health, wellbeing or behaviour
  • Assisting with mobility, transfers and positioning
  • Maintaining safety, hygiene and infection control standards
  • Working closely with nurses and the broader care team to support quality outcomes
  • Providing companionship, reassurance and respectful person-centred care

Essential requirements

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
  • Previous experience in residential aged care
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical capability to safely perform manual handling duties
  • Confidence using tablets or smartphones for work purposes
  • Current First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain
  • Two recent managerial referees
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including mornings, afternoons and nights

Eligibility

  • Be currently residing in Australia with full working rights (please note that sponsorship is not available for this position).
  • Be willing to undertake a National Criminal History Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check in accordance with the Aged Care Act 1997.
