Your new role
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Customer Relations Officer to join a busy customer-facing team on an immediate start basis. You will be responsible for providing high-quality service across front counter, phone and administrative functions while ensuring all customer enquiries are managed efficiently and professionally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing customer enquiries via phone, email and face-to-face interactions
- Operating a busy switchboard and maintaining high service standards
- Processing customer service requests and monitoring outcomes
- Registering and managing incoming correspondence
- Processing payments and reconciling daily transactions
- Performing end-of-day cash handling procedures
- Preparing routine correspondence and documentation
- Data entry and record management across various systems
- Assisting with customer service process improvements and reporting
- Supporting customer service training and team initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a customer service, administration or customer relations role
- Experience working within a CRM or customer request management system
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience handling payments and reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Ability to quickly learn new software systems
- Current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
Experience using TechnologyOne will be highly regarded but is not essential. Previous local government experience will also be viewed favourably.
