We’re looking for an experienced Toolmaker to join our team in Banyo, supporting a busy, high-volume plastic injection moulding operation.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work across tool maintenance, breakdown response, and continuous improvement , helping maximise uptime and product quality across the plant.

What you’ll be doing

  • Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on injection mould tools
  • Diagnose faults and respond to tooling breakdowns efficiently
  • Strip, clean, inspect and reassemble moulds to tight tolerances
  • Modify and improve tools to enhance performance, cycle times and quality
  • Manufacture tooling components using manual and CNC machinery
  • Support production with tool changeovers and defect troubleshooting
  • Work closely with production and process teams to optimise tooling performance

Equipment you’ll work with

  • Mills, lathes, surface grinders
  • Wire & sinker EDM
  • CNC machines (Haas / Fanuc preferred)

 What we’re looking for

Essential:

  • Trade qualified Toolmaker (Cert III Engineering – Toolmaking or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in plastic injection mould tooling
  • Strong understanding of mould construction and maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with hot runner systems
  • CNC programming experience
  • CAD experience (e.g. One CNC, SolidWorks)
  • Background in high-volume manufacturing environments
