Hays Trades & Labour is partnering with a well-established and growing HVAC services provider operating throughout Canberra and the surrounding region. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join a supportive team that values work-life balance, employee wellbeing and long-term career development.

Your New Role

As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality servicing, maintenance and fault-finding across a variety of residential and commercial heating and cooling systems. Your duties will include:

• Fault-finding and diagnosing HVAC system issues
• Carrying out maintenance and repair work
• Servicing a variety of heating and cooling systems
• Providing exceptional customer service on-site
• Identifying replacement opportunities for ageing or underperforming equipment
• Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior technicians
• Maintaining accurate service records and documentation
• Working closely with management to ensure customer satisfaction and quality outcomes.

What You'll Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current Refrigeration Licence
• White Card
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Previous HVAC service and maintenance experience
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
• Experience working across multiple HVAC brands and systems
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

• Experience mentoring apprentices
• Fourth-year apprentices are encouraged to apply
• Residential and commercial service experience
