HSE advisor

3-month HSE Advisor role based in the Pilbara, paying between $80-100ph, starting at the beginning of August.

My client, a global company operating in over 50 countries, requires an HSE advisor for a 3-month contract paying up to $100ph.


Your new role


In your role as an HSE advisor, your duties and responsibilities will include:


Endure HSE compliance
- Monitor compliance with local legislation, rail safety regulations and standards, company policies and HS frameworks, conduct site inspections and audit and ensure safe systems of work are implemented and followed.
Risk Assessment & Hazard Management
- Identify hazards across: rail construction sites, track works and signalling installations, maintenance depots and operational rail environments. You will also lead or support risk assessments, control implementation using the hierarchy of controls and review high-risk activities.
Incident investigation & reporting
- Investigate near misses, injuries, environmental incidents, identify root causes using methods like ICAM, produce reports, recommend corrective actions and track and close out actions.
Contractor & Stakeholder management
- Work closely with contractors and subcontractors, project managers and engineers, rail operators and regulatory bodies. You will also ensure contractors meet HSE requirements, participate in project planning to embed safety early.

What you'll need to succeed


To be successful and considered for the role you will have:


Strong safety commitment - Proactive awareness of your own safety and for others around you.
Previous WHS experience - Ideally having worked in a WHS role within the mining, Trades and manufacturing or warehouse industries.
Knowledge of RTW requirements and experience in facilitating training and assessment packages - desirable

What you'll get in return


The role will be a 3-month role, and you will be based on site in Karratha. You will be paid between $80-$100ph depending on experience.
