Work Health and Safety Manager

An industry leading Warehousing and Distribution company are seeking a senior Work Health & Safety Manager to join their team located in Sydney’s Southwest.

To be successful in this role you must be able to follow and exceed in the following roles and responsibilities:

• Developing, implementing and reviewing plans, processes and policies that increase safety.
• Controlling and mitigating workplace hazards and risks.
• Ensuring operational compliance with relevant health and safety acts and legislation.
• Advocating for health and safety in organizational policy.
• Staying updated with changes to health and safety acts, legislations and awards.
• Managing Safety Committee, Health and Safety Officers and other staff.
• Inspecting and auditing workplaces, processes and equipment for safety and compliance.
• Reporting and managing incidents and safety breaches.

About you:

• First Aid Certificate
• Fire Warden Certificate
• Diploma of WHS/OHS
• Strong understanding of legislation
• Mandatory 3-5+ years within the warehouse and logistics industry
