SUMMARY



 
We are working with a large insurance company, and are looking for a Data Migration Lead who will lead the migration of corporate data, spanning all functions and processes outside core policy and product systems, into a modern technology ecosystem.



 
Based in Sydney, you'll own delivery end-to-end, ensuring all tasks and deliverables meet existing technical/quality standards and best practices.



 
KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Analyze and document the corporate data landscape
• Engage key business stakeholders to determine migration requirements
• Own migration planning and progress tracking
• Identify and manage cross-work-stream dependencies
• Manage and motivate project team resources, Analysts, Engineers, Business SMEs
• Own quality assurance for all deliverables produced by the project team
• Determine resource requirements and maintain the workload plan and timelines
• Provide daily guidance to the delivery team to ensure timely completion of agreed scope
• Estimate and schedule resourcing to ensure sufficient availability and support
• Own knowledge management and documentation activities within the migration team
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance delivery culture that challenges the status quo

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
• Extensive experience delivering in an Agile environment
• Professional certification in project delivery (e.g. Scrum, PRINCE) an advantage
• 5+ years' experience in complex data & technology migrations
• Demonstrable experience of business-to-business migrations
• Track record of successfully leading diverse teams
• Insurance domain experience preferred

• Strong project planning, tracking and forecasting skills
• Strong understanding of unstructured data management and experience in data migrations
• Strong planning and implementation skills
• Proven repeatable record in technology/data delivery management
• Superior communication and influencing skills
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, timeline-driven environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
