Emergency Medicine Registrar | Latrobe, North West Tasmania

An opportunity is available within the Tasmanian Department of Health for an Emergency Medicine Registrar to join on a fixed-term full-time basis.

Location : Latrobe, North West Tasmania
Contract: Fixed-term, Full-time (to February 2028)
Salary: $134,930 – $183,500 + 12% superannuation + salary packaging

Role Overview
Work in a busy regional Emergency Department managing a broad range of presentations under consultant supervision, with strong exposure to acute care, stabilisation and patient flow.

• 30,000+ annual ED presentations
• Consultant-supported emergency care 24/7
• Structured education program with 10 hours protected teaching per fortnight
• 76-hour fortnight + rostered after-hours shifts
• Exposure to undifferentiated and critically unwell patients
• Transfer pathways to tertiary centres when required

Eligibility

• General or limited registration with AHPRA.
