Direct Care Worker

CatholicCare Sydney is a not-for-profit organisation that supports people of all backgrounds to live safe, independent, and connected lives. We provide services to older people, families, and individuals across the community.

About the Role

As a Direct Care Worker, you will provide in-home support for older people and help them live safely, confidently, and independently in their own home.

Your duties may include:

• Personal care (showering, dressing, grooming)
• Preparing meals and snacks
• Supporting medication routines
• Transport to shops and appointments
• Social support and companionship
• Encouraging community participation and independence

About You

• Available at least 3 days per week
• Able to work independently and manage your time.
• Good communication skills
• Comfortable using a smartphone.
• Additional languages highly valued (Arabic, Bosnian, Spanish, Cantonese/Mandarin and Italian speakers

Essential Requirements

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Community Services, or Aged Care
• Current driver’s licence and a registered, insured vehicle
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate
• Valid working rights
