EL2 Service Transition Program Manager – Federal Government

• Initial 12-month contract
• EL2 – attractive hourly rate

Triniti is seeking an experienced Service Transition Program Manager to support a large, complex federal government technology transformation through a critical phase of delivery.

This role is less of a traditional Program Manager position and is more closely aligned to service transition, operational readiness and release-to-operations. You will be responsible for ensuring new program capability is ready to move into live operations and support, with the appropriate governance, handover, readiness, support and stabilisation arrangements in place.

The successful candidate will work across business, IT, program leadership, operational teams and support functions to ensure transition activities are well planned, coordinated and visible to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include

• Developing and leading an integrated transition plan covering transition to operations, service acceptance, handover, stabilisation and knowledge transfer.
• Coordinating operational readiness activities across business, technology, service support, process, people and data dimensions.
• Defining readiness checkpoints, transition acceptance criteria, handover activities and key decision points.
• Managing risks, issues, dependencies and critical path impacts across business and technology workstreams.
• Working with program governance, assurance and change teams to establish transition governance, reporting templates and readiness measures.
• Preparing executive reporting, governance papers and decision-support materials.
• Coordinating operational handover with service, support and business owners, ensuring documentation, training, ownership, service levels and post-go-live support arrangements are in place.

To be suitable, you will ideally bring

• Candidates must hold an active Baseline clearance prior to commencement and be able to obtain NV1.
• Demonstrated experience leading service transition, operational readiness, release-to-operations or transition-to-BAU activities within large, complex technology programs.
• Strong experience in government, enterprise transformation or other highly governed delivery environments.
• Proven ability to coordinate transition activities across business, IT, program and support stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery, P3M disciplines, program governance, assurance, service readiness and operational acceptance.
• Experience managing cross-organisational risks, dependencies, readiness gaps and executive-level reporting.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear briefings and influence senior stakeholders.
• A collaborative style and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with DevOps, MS Project or similar tools would be highly regarded.
• Tertiary and/or professional qualifications within project management, business management, public administration, service management or related disciplines are desirable.
