Rural GP / Generalist – St Marys, Tasmania

We’re looking for a Rural GP / Generalist who doesn’t mind being slightly off the map — because just beyond that track lies one of the most scenic corners of Tassie, a strong and supportive community, and a practice where you’ll be valued more than your stethoscope. (And trust us, we value stethoscopes.)

At  Ochre Medical Centre St Marys , we’re small, close-knit, and growing — and we’re after another set of capable hands. A sharp clinical brain and a decent sense of humour wouldn’t hurt either. Full-time is ideal, but we’re flexible if you prefer part-time. Lifestyle matters here.

The Role:

You’ll join a team that includes a local GP, a co-located Tier 2 hospital (with 8 acute/sub-acute beds and an ED), and a supportive Community Health Centre. The practice operates  Monday to Friday, 9 to 5— which, let’s be honest, is practically a unicorn in general practice.

Of course, rural generalism doesn’t clock off at 5pm, so you’ll participate in an  on-call roster for the hospital.

Live nearby? Great. Live further out? We’ll provide a house when you’re on call — because dealing with emergencies is easier after a proper night’s sleep.

You’ll Need:

• General or Specialist Registration with AHPRA
• Emergency medicine certificate (ALS2 or equivalent)
