Manager - Hybrid Cloud Platforms

Your new company
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hybrid Cloud Manager to lead and evolve a large-scale hybrid cloud environment for a complex enterprise organisation in the south‑eastern suburbs of Melbourne. This is a permanent leadership position with responsibility for the strategy, performance and financial management of a critical hybrid cloud platform, with a strong emphasis on private cloud infrastructure.

Your new role
In this exciting role, you will be:

• Leading, developing and mentoring a high-performing infrastructure and cloud team
• Owning the end-to-end lifecycle of VMware-based private cloud platforms
• Managing multi-million-dollar OPEX and CAPEX budgets, including forecasting and optimisation
• Driving strategy, modernisation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Partnering with senior stakeholders to design secure, scalable and resilient hosting solutions
• Ensuring compliance with security, risk, governance and disaster recovery standards

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application, you will need:

• Proven experience leading infrastructure or cloud teams
• Strong knowledge of VMware technologies including ESXi, vSphere, vCentre and SRM
• VMware NSX experience is highly desirable.
• Exposure to hybrid environments; AWS and/or Azure experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Demonstrated financial acumen with responsibility for OPEX and CAPEX budgets
• Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership and influencing skills
