LMS Energy is at the forefront of emissions reduction and renewable fuel innovation across Australia. We are currently recruiting for a full-time or part-time Payroll Supervisor located in Unley, South Australia.  

Reporting directly to the Group Leader People and Culture this role will play a key role in enabling the Payroll Team to deliver on key objectives through effective support and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and approve payroll on a fortnightly basis, ensuring that all employees are paid in accordance with their employment agreements, including superannuation, entitlements and taxes.
  • Oversee the preparation of rate sheets for new employees salary, taxes, deductions, superannuation (both SGC & salary sacrifice) and leave ready for payroll.
  • Oversee the reconciliation and submission of Single Touch Payroll (STP) to ATO after each payroll process, and for the end of the financial year.
  • Ensure the Payroll team promptly process travel and other allowances, long-term travel payments, on-call bonuses, time in lieu, additional hours, terminations and performance bonuses.
  • Ensure the Payroll team reconcile superannuation monthly and quarterly ready for payment.
  • Ensure the Payroll team maintains and updates employee records in TechOne, including Child Support Payments and Parental Leave Payments.
  • Ensure the Payroll team prepare and pay monthly and annual payroll tax return for each state.
  • Ensure the Payroll team prepare annual Workcover wages to the relevant workers compensation body.
  • Ensure the Payroll team prepare and process EOFY processes and maintain system data ready for next financial year.
  • Drive continuous improvement in payroll processes and procedures, and review suitability of the TechOne system for ongoing growth and automation of payroll processes.
  • Delegate tasks to the Payroll team and establish clear payroll processes and procedures.
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for any payroll concerns or disputes, and consult with Senior Management as required.
  • Provide remuneration advice and insights to leaders and People & Culture, including salary benchmarking, market analysis, remuneration recommendations, and support for remuneration reviews and workforce planning.

Requirements:

  • 10 years experience in Payroll
  • Proven experience and capability using payroll systems (Technology One desirable)
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of wage compliance and practices
  • Australian Drivers Licence
