About the role
This role leads the charge in rebuilding the organisation’s financial strength, modernising systems, and creating the framework for long-term sustainability. The role takes ownership of financial operations from day one, driving performance, improving visibility, and embedding discipline across every level of the business, with an active part in the executive team, contributing to strategic decisions that balance purpose with performance. A financial leader who thrives under pressure, navigates complexity with clarity, and sees challenge as opportunity.
- Oversee all day-to-day finance operations — accounting, reporting, payroll, treasury, and compliance.
- Deliver monthly management reports, board packs, and forward-looking cashflow forecasts.
- Manage annual audits, reporting, and statutory lodgements (ie, BAS, PAYG, super, grants).
- Strengthen internal controls, reconciliations, and policies to ensure compliance and confidence.
- Lead budgeting and cost-to-serve reviews across Aged Care, OOSH, and Community programs.
- Partner with the Executive Team to deliver a roadmap for sustainable surplus and growth.
- Introduce automation and process improvement across all finance roles.
- Implement standard operating procedures, service-level metrics, and automation tools as part of a key continuous improvement practice.
- Build a performance-driven culture of accountability, learning, and collaboration.
- Guide the finance function through restructuring and capability uplift initiatives.
About You
- CA/CPA qualified with 7+ years’ post-qualification experience in finance leadership.
- Accounting or general business degree, with recognition of further studies in the area of Project Management, Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Skilled in large ERP and CRMs and advanced Excel modelling.
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder engagement, including Board exposure.
- Deep understanding of cashflow, working capital, and funding strategies.
- Hands‑on operator – able to move fluidly between boardroom and back office.
- Change leader – resilient, composed, and credible in complex environments.
- Analytical communicator – simplifies complexity and brings data to life.

The successful candidate will require National Police clearance prior to appointment (completed by 3Bridges), valid NSW Working With Children Check clearance, NDIS Worker Clearance and Current NSW drivers’ licence.
