Primary objective

You will provide strategic project management support to the Project Facilitation team to promote and facilitate delivery of

major private-sector sustainable energy projects in the Northern Territory to secure external investment and economic

diversification.

Context statement

Sustainable Energy Development provides strategic leadership and facilitation services to support the delivery of complex,

large-scale renewable energy projects that advance the ‘Rebuilding the Economy’ NT Economic Strategy.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Undertake research and prepare analysis and advice within the remit of the Project Facilitation team, with an emphasis

on commercial considerations.

2. Maintain effective processes, systems and internal controls to ensure effective, efficient and robust governance

frameworks for the delivery of concurrent projects.

3. Support project facilitation activities, including preparing reports, plans, briefs, meeting agendas and minutes, and draft

correspondence.

4. Develop and maintain strong working relationships and collaborative partnerships with internal and external

stakeholders to maximise project and team outcomes.

5. Deliver tasks according to agreed timeframes and priorities to support broader project management.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Demonstrated commercial acumen, research and analytical skills.

2. Strong organisational and project management skills, including the ability to prioritise and execute complex tasks in a

multidisciplinary environment.

3. High level communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to create and maintain strong professional

networks with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

4. Demonstrated effective written communication skills with previous experience in preparing briefs, reports and

correspondence and presenting complex information in plain English.

5. Strong personal drive, sound professional judgement and demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes within agreed

timeframes.

Desirable

1. Tertiary qualifications in business, law, project management or other relevant fields.

2. Demonstrated understanding of major project facilitation and development.
