ROLE DETAILS
As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, you will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.
Your duties will comprise:
- Delivering safe, research-based standards of nursing care;
- Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs;
- Leding successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current registration with APHRA;
- Working with Children check;
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent;
- Post Graduate Certificate or working towards in Perioperative Nursing (Desirable);
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement;
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused.

Salaries range between $35.46 and $49.79 per hour

It is renowned for its expertise in cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, endovascular surgery, interventional neuroradiology, general surgery, general medicine, liver surgery, orthopedics, maternity, and pediatrics. The facility additionally features a dedicated Day Surgery unit, a Coronary Care Unit, and an Intensive Care Unit.
