Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager – Civil Utilities & HV Projects

We're recruiting on behalf of a global, market-leading consultancy renowned for delivering some of the world's most complex and high-profile projects. Recognised as a leader in the data centre sector, this organisation partners with some of the biggest names in the industry and has built an outstanding reputation for technical excellence, innovation and project delivery.

Due to continued growth, they're seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager to join their Sydney team, working on the delivery side of the business across major civil utilities and infrastructure projects.

The Role

You'll be responsible for managing the commercial and cost management functions across a portfolio of complex infrastructure projects, working closely with clients, contractors and project teams to ensure successful project delivery from inception through to completion.

Key responsibilities 

• Cost planning, estimating and budgeting.
• Procurement and tender evaluation.
• Contract administration and commercial management.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and financial control.
• Managing project variations and change control.
• Building strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

About You

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager within civil utilities (water & power) projects.
• Proven experience working in high-voltage (HV) environments.
• Project experience with utility providers such as Sydney Water, Ausgrid and/or Endeavour Energy .
• Strong proficiency in CostX, Procore and Microsoft Excel .
• A solid understanding of Australian construction contracts and commercial practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
