Woolworths views learning and development as an essential investment in its future growth.

We are committed to providing opportunities for all our employees to achieve their goals and progress their careers through continued learning and development. There are many examples within our organisation of people who have started as a casual worker in our stores and through hard work, dedication and training are now leaders within the company.

On commencement with us, all new employees are provided with a full company induction. When you start your Woolworths career, your manager will set you up for success by guiding you through day to day responsibilities and assisting you with learning company policies, procedures and processes, as well as offering you helpful advice until you settle into your new role.

Our Woolworths training programs support our commitment to serving our customers and ensuring safety in the workplace while aiming to make our employees more knowledgeable, effective and successful in their roles. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Woolworths Limited offers employees the chance to gain nationally-recognised qualifications from Certificate III to Certificate IV.

Founded in 1924, Woolworths Group is Australia's largest retailer with more than 3,500 stores across Australia and New Zealand that span food, drinks, petrol, general merchandise and hotels.

The Woolworths Group is a proud, home-grown Australian business, employer of more than 205,000 people and a committed business partner of many thousand local farmers, producers and manufacturers.
