About the Role

We are seeking an experienced person to join us as our receptionist and provide support to the Intake Officer. As the first point of contact, this role plays a crucial role in supporting carers to navigate their carer journey.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be organised, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently. This role will provide you with a lot of variety and responsibilities including:

• Greeting all visitors

• Answer phone calls promptly and directing them accordingly.

• Managing the central Carers ACT email mailbox

• Supporting the Intake Officer by assisting with initial enquiries, assessments, and referrals for Carers

• Manage office supplies, incoming/outgoing mail, kitchen supplies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Empathetic and flexible approach to responding to client enquiries

• Attention to detail

• Well-developed problem-solving abilities

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Ability to multitask effectively

• Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite

Your Experience, Qualifications and Checks:

• Previous experience in a frontline reception/intake role

• Experience working with people from culturally diverse backgrounds

• Working knowledge of the NDIS and My Aged Care landscape

• ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration including clearance for NDIS activities if issued after July 2021 (or willingness to obtain)

• Up to date full COVID vaccinations

• Current Driver's Licence
